Savoring Summer

It's that time of year when it feels like summer is starting to slip away too quickly. Do you feel that way, too?

The best way to enjoy these long, sun-filled days is to savor them. Savor is one of those words that makes me feel like I'm doing just that by saying it out loud. It's a delicious word that really describes being in the present moment with whatever it is you want to take in more deeply.

Just think about savoring a ripe, juicy peach fresh from the farmer's market. You take in the flavor, the texture, the fragrance. Mmmm.

I'll bet you can almost taste it now just thinking about it. As a matter of fact, your mouth probably started salivating when you read those words! That is the power of your imagination in the present moment.

Want to make the experience even stronger? Involve as many of your physical senses as possible. Any time you flood your senses, you're automatically present with that experience because every faculty you have is engaged in it.

So I invite you to find as many ways as possible to savor these remaining juicy days of summer. Savor all of its beautiful sights, sounds, aromas, tastes, and textures, and I'll be right there with you. Peach, anyone? 😋
